Well it’s official in 15 days I’ll be on the road somewhere near the Arizona boarder in route to Texas! For the past three years my family and I wanted to move and after many tears, arguments, health scares, and face on the ground kinda prayer requests! We are finally going!
I can honestly say the past three years have been the worst and yet the best I’ve ever had. Not many people would see it that way but I know when you’re truly giving it all to God that’s usually how it ends up. Faith has been tested on more then one occasion. But we never gave up. At times all I could do was cry out to God and I mean that in the most literal since of the expression!
It’s actually kinda funny now that I look back at things, because a little over a year ago my mom had a group of people approach her in Walmart and asked if they could pray with her. If you know my mom she’s always down for a good prayer. The man that prayed with her said that their church prayed over who they should look for and gave her a list. They were to look for a women in a white shirt, dealing with health problems, moving to Texas. Well at the time we thought that we were moving to Tennessee and for whatever reason we had crossed Texas off of our list (notice the Our List part), my mom was also wearing a white shirt and we’ve been dealing with health problems for years! But we had it in our minds that we were moving to Tennessee. How else could God had directed us? We had been praying and praying for an answer and guidance! Seriously, I wonder how many times God has answered prayers like this and because of our own selfish ways we miss it!
God isn’t a pushy, he’s actually quite polite! We really don’t deserve his love and guidance! I mean he sent some very bold and nice people to literally tell us where we were moving and we brushed it off like whatever. Because at the time we thought we knew best. We thought we had things all together! But as it turns out we didn’t have anything together and it took several more takedowns to get us to the place we are now as a family!
So now we are all set for Texas and oddly enough we all feel so peaceful it’s not even funny! The house is packed, the Realtors have been contacted, the extra furniture is gone, and the moving company has been booked!! And by peaceful I mean non of us have ever been to this town or state EVER! And my dad applied for his new job a week ago Sunday. Yes he literally applied on a Sunday and got the job by that Wednesday, then resigned on Friday! It’s crazy!!
The best part is, sometimes it takes a little bit but if you continue to follow God and try and see past yourself you’ll get to the place where he wants you! And remember once you’ve handed all over to God, no matter what you do God will get you where he wants you!!
