What’s New With The Typzee Gypzee?

Oh hey welcome to my blog!! I haven’t posted in a bit so feel free to roam around and read some older posts!

You’re probably wondering who is The Typzee Gypzee well it’s me Holland or Holliebeth! I started this blog a few years ago because honestly I couldn’t find any info on Chris Young’s album “I’m Comin’ Over”. I also couldn’t find anything on smaller artists that I had a mild obsession with. So I started blogging about that for almost three years; but then because my mind is full of about a thousand different things I started to think about going more of the lifestyle route. I had been around the social meets and I decided that yes I love country music but it’s not my one and only love!

So while I’m getting my type on feel free to come and jump on my IG, Twitter and Pinterest to keep up with my daily happenings until I get back to blogging!!

Car Dance JAM “Blue Tacoma”~ Russell Dickerson

There are a few things in my life that make me dance in the car, like a purse that I just got from Target for $7.98 and it was originally $25.99 (thanks Mom for the present). But the main thing that gets my dancing is a really good song and well “Blue Tacoma” by Russell Dickerson is one of them! It has it all the beach, love an awesome car literally everything! And if you don’t believe me check out the video: https://youtu.be/eHTiEn72SOA

~Album Review~ “If I Know Me” Morgan Wallen

Every so often a new artist comes out and drops a new album. They come and go much like the lapping of a lake, but then an artist comes out and you can’t believe that they only have one album and/or single out. The way you look and listen to music completely changes, for the better. In today’s world unfortunately artists come and go and life is so fast that if they’re not a huge hit in about four to six months that artist will probably end up in the copyright side of things!

But that isn’t the case for Morgan Wallen. He first came out with “The Way I Talk” #Jam. I was like, heck yes who is this? Then “Up Down” came along featuring FGL and I found myself once again jamming out and googling what “BFE” ment (apparently it’s my hometown). And now here we are two singles latter an album drop, “If You Know Me” comes out tomorrow, Friday May 4th!!! This is (in my opinion), so far the BEST ALBUM of 2018!! Yes you read that right! I have listened to it over and over and over again and I can’t find one thing I don’t like about it! There’s nothing that needs changed. It doesn’t sound like anything else currently out. The first time I heard it I was like if Joe Nichols, Sammy Kershaw and Dwight Yoakam had a baby it would be this album. Not many albums make me want to listen to the entire thing on repeat every day. The sound is so different it’s addicting. It’s smooth, chill, and the perfect album for summer!

So if you haven’t heard it jump on over to Spotify and then go and buy the dang thing!!

Album Review ‘Lambs and Lions’ Chase Rice…

What do you get when a record label controls your career for three years, Jack Daniels is just as important to you as water and you’re the only country music Pat Mcafee will listen to! Well you must be Chase Rice and you just released one of the best albums of 2017, cue ‘Lambs and Lions’. And if you don’t believe me then go buy the dang thing!

It’s not often when a record label micromanages your career almost to the point of disappearance that you come back three years later and chart next to Thomas Rhett and Chris Stapleton. But when your name is Chase Rice those things happen to you.

If you don’t know Chase’s story then read on. Several years ago Chase lost his father suddenly, suffered a major injury that ended his football career right as it was getting started, worked for Hendricks Motor Sports on the pitcrew, then he made his way to Nashville and ended up co-writing one of the biggest country music singles ever to be released, you might have heard of it you know ‘Cruise’ by Florida Georgia Line. It’s that one that was blasting out of every single car and truck that drove down the road.

‘Lambs and Lions’ has a little bit of everything from pump-up to breakup to hook up and everything in between.

Track Listing Review:

‘Lions’ should be played in every single lockeroom right before all of the upcoming bowl games this season! Enough said!

‘Amen’ is a sweet song that will take you back to every moment you don’t ever want to forget. And whenever you add a choir you know it’s going to be on point!

‘Eyes On You’ is a such a cute song. Ladies listen up. If your man doesn’t do what this song says then go get a new man!

‘Saved Me’ will make you melt and it should be in a movie. It’s not often that Chase gets sentimental but this one is definitely the one in this album. Much like ‘Carolina Can’ and ‘Jack Daniels and Jesus’ was on the pervious albums.

If you’ve heard ‘Ride’ and ‘Whisper’, then you’ll love ‘On Tonight’; plus you can listen to this one with your grandma!

‘One Love, One Kiss, One Drink, One Song’  If you’re drinking and want to text your ex, stop put the phone down and go listen to this song ASAP!

‘Unforgettable’ is a breakup sequel to ‘Whisper’ in my opinion.

‘This Cowboy’s Hat’ (feat. Ned LeDoux) Yes this was originally Chris LeDoux’s song and let me say these two did an amazing job. Totally did this one justice. Ned does the talking and Chase does the singing.

‘Three Cords and The Truth’ If someone ever asks you why you listen to Country music, right before you go and delete them from Facebook and block them on Twitter/IG because you don’t need that kind of negativity, have them go and listen to this song it explains it perfectly.

‘Jack Daniels Showed Up’ Well well well this just wouldn’t be a complete Chase Rice album without the appearance of Jack Daniels somewhere and low and behold it’s right in the title! This song is funny and oh so true!!

Get ‘Lambs and Lions’ here!

Follow Chase (not in that creepy way just online!)

So as you can tell ‘Lambs and Lions’ is definitely #GypzeeApproved!!

New Artist Alert~

Have you ever heard an artist and it changes your whole day for the better??

That happened this week. I was looking at clothes on Pinterest that I’ll never wear, when I got a message from a new independent record label, Silverado Records; asking if I would review some new music. If you know me then you know that I jumped at this!!

First off I’m pretty sure Zack Dyer is the best thing that has come out of Minneapolis like ever (If you know of anything else let me know)! Second his music is amazing!

Zack has a sound that takes you on a mental vacation as soon as you turn it on. They sent me four songs and when I was getting ready to write this I was trying to pick one that I’d focus on and well I can’t! He’s literally that good.

The first song that I listened to was “P.O.S”, this tells the real story about your first car, that most of have have all gone through. Usually your first car is a pile of junk and well you and your crew have to make the best of it! Zack does an awesome job of making you feel like it wasn’t that bad. Plus the music on this track is amazing and I found myself listening to this on repeat just so I could hear the guitar!

“All American” and “Heartland” are such sweet songs. I am a huge fan of party/club country, but sometimes you need a slowdown and get back to earth. “All American” is definitely a dirt road dancing kinda jam. If you had to explain the USA with a single song “Heartland” would be it!

“Wishful Drinking” is not your average brokenhearted country song. There seems to be a million breakup songs, but this one is different! I can’t seem to put my finger on it but all I know is if you’re going through a breakup get the Jack D out, hit repeat and don’t call your EX! I just listened to it again, nevermind call your EX!!

I can’t wait to hear what Zack comes out with next! He’s definitely one to watch!

Follow Zack: TwitterFacebookSpotifyIG!

A huge shout-out to Silverado Records for connecting!!

∆Review “It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To∆

I am a true believer that Billy Currington does not get enough play!!! But this song is going to change all of that!!!
I’ve been a fan of his since before he was swinging on a Chandler with Shania!!

So when I heard his new single “It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To” I was so excited!!
This song is on point from the lyric, to the vocal, to the band!!
Every single part if this song is amazing!!

The beginning of this song starts with a mid tempo jam about how his ex hurt him! Then the chorus hits and it hits you right in the heart and you’re like who in the world would ever dump Billy Currington!?!?!?! It says what we all want to after a bad break up!!!

I would have to say that this is one of the best vocals that I’ve heard from Billy, it makes me wonder if this song has a story behind it!!!!

I watched an interview that Billy did with One Country and apparently this song was wrote and recorded in just a few hours!!! That’s what I call genuine country music!!!
Check out the interview here!!!

So here’s my advice if you just went through a bad break up; get in the car, turn on this song as high as it’ll go and drive!!! It’ll make you feel better trust me!!!!

Follow Billy and keep up with all the music:

Video Review “Mind Reader”- Dustin Lynch

For the last few weeks I’ve been jamming out to “Mind Reader” whenever it came on the radio. I’m in love with this song, I really am!!
But whenever the music video comes out I worry just a little because one of three things happens, first it’s awful you know those videos that should’ve never been made! Second it doesn’t go with the song, I understand people want to get creative, but let’s be honest it needs to make since! And third it fits the song perfectly and all is well in the music world!!
So where does “Mind Reader” fit? It definitely is the latter!!!

This video has all the components that make an awesome video!
It had a pretty girl, an awesome car, a great story and of course Dustin Lynch was AMAZING in his cowboy hat!!

“Tangled Up”

So I won’t do an album review until I know the words to every single song as if I wrote it!!
And now I can add Thomas Rhett’s Tangled Up to my inventory!!!

I have had this album on repeat since I got it!!! Now I knew Mr. Rhett knew how to start a party from his last album “It Goes Like This”, but “Tangled Up” brings us a new unknown side of Thomas!!!

If you’ve ever imagined (or hoped for), what it would sound like if Motown and Nashville had a baby, then you really really need to listen to this album from start to finish!!

I think one if the biggest surprises was the duet with Jordan Sparks “Playing With Fire”!!! I didn’t even know he had did a song with Jordan until it came on!! It’s amazing! Everything about that song is perfect!

But out of all the songs my favorite is T-Shirt! This song brings sexy, flirty, fun, and (as the British like to say), checky!!!

So what are you waiting for go and get this album here!!!

Track Listing:
1. Anthem
2. Crash and Burn
3. South Side
4. Die a Happy Man
5. Vacation
6. Like It’s The Last Time
7. T-Shirt
8. Single Girl
9. The Day You Stop Lookin’ Back
10. Tangled
11. Playing With Fire
12. I Feel Good
13. Learned It From The Radio
