❣Song Of The Week❣

It’s week two of July!! Where in world is summer going???

So this week I’m picking my favorite song by Mr. Brett Eldredge!!

The worst part about this song is that it has never been released!! Yes, leave it to me to find a song that’s never been released, sorry!!

Okay so if you’ve been to one of Brett’s shows you’ve probably heard it; especially if you went to any of his shows when he was on tour in 2014!!

Or if you were jamming out to Brett way back in 2011 you might have heard it during Couch Sessions!!

“Can’t Behave” is the most flirty song I’ve heard in a long time!! It’s also one of the cutest, (Sorry I’m a hopeless romantic)!! But honestly it’s super fun and cheeky (I love that word)!

Video Review “Mind Reader”- Dustin Lynch

For the last few weeks I’ve been jamming out to “Mind Reader” whenever it came on the radio. I’m in love with this song, I really am!!
But whenever the music video comes out I worry just a little because one of three things happens, first it’s awful you know those videos that should’ve never been made! Second it doesn’t go with the song, I understand people want to get creative, but let’s be honest it needs to make since! And third it fits the song perfectly and all is well in the music world!!
So where does “Mind Reader” fit? It definitely is the latter!!!

This video has all the components that make an awesome video!
It had a pretty girl, an awesome car, a great story and of course Dustin Lynch was AMAZING in his cowboy hat!!

·Live Life For You·

Every year you hear about how
everyone is going to change their life’s for the better and how you’re going to see a change!! Well the sad part is, it never happens!! We all run around the same as we were before just really grumpy, because we failed to change!!

But 2016 is the year for me!! I’ve set some goals and I’ve already started to reach them. I went through a lot in 2014 and 2015. In 2014 I lost two of my grandpa’s within six weeks of each other completely unexpected, my other grandpa moved out of state and there was major family drama when everyone should’ve been supporting one another!! And in 2015 my mom almost died from major complicates due to fibroid tumor and I found out that I have PCOS, (Look it up, it sucks)!
As 2016 approached I started having some issues with how my life was going. I was board, my life was extremely dull!!
So I decided to change things! I couldn’t get to the end of my life and have nothing to show for it. That’s why I decided to start Southern Princess Problems!! I wanted to make my mark and what better way then in music! I love it and so far it’s been amazing!! I’ve gotten to interview some AMAZING artists and I can’t wait to see where it’s taking me!
I have also decided to get in shape!! That’s right skinny mini me is on the  way!!

It’s Monday and that means it’s time for #MusicMonday!!!!

I’ve been listening to a lot of Chris Young lately!! Every single one of his album’s has at least three or four love songs on it!!! My favorite so far is from his latest album “I’m Comin’ Over”, ” “Heartbeat” is so romantic and way sexy!!!!

Check out these other #MusicMonday post you’ll find them interesting!!!!

~Lunch Time~

So it’s February 1st and it’s freezing here in Cali!! So I decided on soup and whole wheat sourdough cheese bread!!
It’s super yummy and the whole thing is only about 410 calories!! And it only cost about $6.00!!! Not to bad compared to Olive Garden!!

Here’s how to make it!!

What you need:
One can of progresso soup any flavor
Today I had Tomato Basil!!
Two slices of Cracked Whole Wheat Sourdough or normal sourdough
On slice of Provolone cheese
One tsp of butter
Garlic Powder
Cookie sheet
Tin foil or Parchment paper

How to make it?
Preheat over to 350°
Line cookie sheet with tin foil
Butter one side of bread, season with garlic powder
Cut cheese in half, place on each piece of bread
Place bread on cookie sheet cook for about ten minutes or until cheese is melted
Place soup in sauce pan heat until hot or bubbling along the sides of the pan
Remove from heat, place in bowl and enjoy with water or iced tea!

It’s literally that simple! Plus its a great source of veggies!!

∆Artist Spotlight with Joey James Band∆

I absolutely love discovering new talent in music, its one of the main reasons that I started to write!!

So when I found the Joey James Band I was super excited to interview him! He’s definitely one to watch for!! I don’t know who you could find that fits into Country Music than Joey, from his sound to his pride!! He’s the real deal!!

This week I got to interview Joey and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!

PS I love his answer to question 10!!!

Q1. What made you want to get into music?
At a young age I started writing poetry and right away felt like I had a knack to bringing emotions onto a piece of paper. In my teen years I started to write my first lyrics and I watched as people reacted to my words. It amazed me that my words could move human emotions. During my time in the military I grew into my own and met others from different parts of the country. This made me grow as a writer. My love and passion to sing and perform grew with every lyric I wrote. So what got me into music is really the fact that I have so much to say and contribute to the world.

Q2. Who are your biggest musical influences?
I am a huge fan of Garth Brooks, I have always liked the way he interacted with his fans and he has performed his shows the right way, he brought in great songwriters and gave country music the spark it needed that I truly believe makes me the artist I want to be. I have a great understanding that my fans are who make me and I am blessed.

Q3. What is one song out today that you wish you had wrote?
The Dance is one of those songs that will outlive every generation and so really that is the one song I wish I could have been a part of. Other then, that I am very passionate about the words that I put down on paper and cannot wait for a bigger opportunity to share my words.

Q4. How do you get inspiration for new music?
It sounds so collage but honestly I get a lot of inspiration by everyday living. My lyrics are true and I love speaking to folks and getting several ideas from them. I mean some of my songs start off with a quote someone says!

Q5. What is the worst advice someone gave you about music?
The worst advice anyone has given me is how easy it could be to make it in the industry because of my songwriting. It’s a tough business to crack. Making it also has derived a different meaning for me then when I first started this journey. I now look at using my music to help others and if the Lord blesses me enough to make the national stage then I will feel I have made it.

Q6. How long have you been making music?
Professionally I have been on stage for a little over 7 years and I Iove every minute of it. The stage brings me so much joy!

Q7. What is one thing that you can’t live without?
My daughter, my girlfriend of 4 years, my two dogs, good friends, and God, not always in that order lol!

Q8. What is your ideal vacation?
I grew up in the sticks , in a tiny little town in Oregon. My vacation is a cabin in the woods, fishing, exploring and enjoying my loved ones company!

Q9. If you could have any super power what would it be?
I love this question! I would really like to read a persons mind, to feel a persons thoughts would definitely give me an understanding of what that person has gone through.

Q10. If someone made a movie about your life, who would you want to play you?
Hmmm, who can grow a bad ass beard in Hollywood? I guess Russel Crow could do me the honors, I don’t think I have ever seen a bad movie of his. No Australian accent though, could he pull off my little drawl?

Q11. When you’re out with friends what are you normally drinking?
Well it has been a curse on me since my metabolism decided to slow down a couple years back. I love beer, almost any kind of beer. I am also a fan of Whiskey, my Grandpa’s favorite drink was Black Velvet and Sprite, so these days that’s kind of my go to drink!

Q12. What are your plans for 2016?
We are looking to record this killer EP, I am hopeful that I can have it released in the summer time! We are also looking to make some moves into the national spotlight after an investor comes through for us. Maybe even trying to get Saving Soldiers Tour off the ground, my brain child to help our veterans in need. Growing my fan support is also a continuous goal.

Thank you for your support and for helping artists like me get exposure.

So I’m super excited to be apart of #MusicMonday that NashNews15 puts on every week!!!

They have five questions that they send me and I answer them!!! I like answering questions for a change lol!!!

So here we go!!

What was the last person you saw in concert?
Okay so where I live there aren’t a lot of concerts that come around!! So I’m going to cheat and say CMA Fest on ABC lol!!
I’ve missed some super amazing ones and I’m still not happy about; for example
Chris Young and then Brett Eldredge!!!

What is your current go to song?
I’ve really been loving “Drunk On Your Love” It’s been on repeat since I downloaded the Album lol!! I think it’s super sweet and way fun!!

What event are you looking forward to attending?
Our local country station 106.7 Kjug hosts Jug Fest every year and they always have some great acts!! Last year the had Lauren Alaina, Big and Rich and Chris Young was headlining!!
So I can’t wait to see who’s going to be there this year!!!
I’d also love to go to Stagecoach but trying to get tickets is nearly Impossible lol!!!

Who is an artist that everyone needs to check out?
So in August I found out about this new country singer, Tyler Rich; he opened for Brett Eldredge in Idaho!!
Let me just say he’s amazing!!! He has a new sound its a mix between Keith Urban and Sam Hunt!! I think my sister described his sound, she said it sounds like Sam Hunt is trying to sound like Tyler. Plus it also helps that he’s super handsome, he has some awesome tattoos and he’s a Cali boy so its a total win win!!!

And the fifth question is a unique monthly music question. For January our question is: What is your favorite motivational song/ song for the new year?
So this year I feel like its going to be the year of some huge changes!! So I’d have to say Eric Paslay “High Class” I literally blast this song every time I’m in the car!!! It’s super fun and sums up how I feel about 2016!

So there it is happy #MusicMonday y’all!!!

I Think I Bull Ride In My Sleep

So it’s Monday and all seems to be well in the world. Let me explain, first I made myself do an insane workout last night. I’m now on week six and for some crazy reason I am still sore, just like I was during week one. I’m the kind of sore that only bull riders and offensive linemen feel. You know, the kind of sore that makes sitting up in bed feel more like you just got done climbing mount Everest (it may sound a little more dramatic than it really is, but it’s true!) This death workout is on “Just Dance 4”, but it’s under the Just Sweat part. I’ve been doing the kick boxing one (I can’t remember the name because I’m too sore lol), it combines kick boxing and dancing. I do have to say, that out of all the workouts I’ve done, I’m actually losing weight with this one!!! I can’t get bored with a workout or I lose interest! I’d give this one a 9, yes it gets a 9 because I am too sore to give it a solid 10 ;)!! But it’s working wonders and you should give it a try!! Trust me you’ll be bikini ready in no time!!

I am also happy because fall is right around the corner and that means riding boots, sweaters, brown nail polish and of course football (ROLL TIDE); are all making their way back into our hearts and department stores! And from all the buzz I’ve been hearing the 70’s are taking over the color wheel this fall/winter. So get ready for earthy/muted tones!!

Another reason I’m in such a good mood this Monday, is because Tim Tebow played in the Eagles game against the Colt’s yesterday and in normal Tebow fashion he ran in a TD!! Now if you know me then you know that I’m a huge Tim Tebow fan!! He is pretty much one of the nicest guys in the NFL. Plus all the work he does for kids and families off the field is amazing!! How can you not be a fan of a guy that has his own foundation that as his foundation states “Bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need”.

And last but defiantly not least, I have Brett Eldredge’s new album “Illinois” on PRE-ORDER!!!
People let me tell you that ever since I heard “Just A Taste“, “Fire” and “Lose My Mind“, I was like “I need that CD like yesterday!” So it’s on its way and from what I’ve heard its going to be 10 times better that Brett’s last CD. I honestly don’t know how it’s going to be better, so we’ll see.

So that’s what I’ve been up to this Monday!
How’s ours going??
Tell me in the comment section below!!
