Let’s Get Cray Cray~

For the last few weeks I’ve been pretty sick and just didn’t feel like blogging. So of course I started to think about the blog and honestly I feel like something is missing. I’ve been going over it and over it and over it again until it hit me, just write about life. I’m not a professional journalist I just really love to write and listen to music. I mean why not. I’m not trying to make money, I just want to write about my insanely busy, whole lotta crazy thing I like to call life.

I want to make people laugh because the Lord knows that we all need a good laugh. So jump on this crazy train and let’s get cray!!!!

Oh and don’t worry I’ll still be doing music reviews and all that fun stuff I’m just adding my craziness to the mix!!

Out here in Cali spring also means it starts to heat up fast! It’s basically two weeks of spring andd then, bam summer. I naturally needed something cute to wear in the spring heat! So my latest obsession is torn jeans! It’s so funny because just a few years ago you wouldn’t have ever seen anyone in ripped jeans unless you had just charted on the billboard alternative list! But lately it’s all over the place!

The biggest question I always have is how to style them, so that I don’t look like I smell like teen spirit! And as I stair at my closet whilst I start to have a minor panic attack, I hover toward my love Pinterest! Seriously though I really do love Pinterest. It’s nice to have a place where I can literally put all of my ideas in on place!! Cue the happy dance!!!

Here are a few of my favorite outfits! And if you try them out don’t forget to #OOTD!!

Why I Pretty Much Only Listen to Country Music~

I have two sides country and club jamz. Honestly if it’s remixed and super digital I’ll go there. You know what I’m talking about when it comes to club jamz. But when it comes to what I listen to on a daily basis it’s always country. I tried to branch out and I listened to the ‘Today’s Hits’ on Spotify. Well at the 50 second mark of the third song I turned it to Riley Green.

I started to think about it. I mean what is it about country that has grabbed my attention like it has. Is it the rawness, the truth or the simple fact that it’s just good music. Well, it’s all three and then some. When you listen to a country song you know the truth behind every single lyric. How many times have you actually ever been in a club and left with whoever was there and how would you still be able to stand up after all these shots?!?!? I haven’t ever done that but I have been to a bonfire or two, I was raised in church with some manners and I’ve spent more time driving around with the radio blasting then I can remember. And honestly pop music doesn’t do any of that. When you turn on some country it becomes more of a soundtrack rather then a dream. I guess you could say that if you live your life like a country song then you’re living a dream.

I grew up in California and yes I’ve done all of the California stuff like spending weeks at the beach, I’ve been to the snow, I’ve been to the Santa Cruz board walk, I’ve been to Disneyland, Huntington Beach, San Francisco and the list goes on and on. Those places were fun and all but the bonfires in my backyard listening to the radio were way better and free! At one point I wanted to live in NYC and then my family and I had to go to the Bay area and on the way back home we got stuck in traffic. As we sat there I looked around and my whole mind changed. No one looked happy and everyone were on their phones not paying attention to anything around them. I wanted to freak out. The only difference about growing up in California was that I lived in the central valley where all of the food is grown. So I got to do all of those typical California things but I also lived on a few orange groves, I was in 4-H, my dad has always worked in agriculture. I got a taste of both worlds. There is just something in a country song that calls to me. It just seems natural to live life like a country song rather than a Justin Bieber song.

So when you think about it, country music is more of a lifestyle ratheer then it is a business. I mean I don’t know many country artists that are ‘One Hit Wonders’.

So the next time someone asks you why you listen to so much country music just tell them it’s a way of life!

Typzee Tuesday Tunes~

Spring break is officially here! I feel like it’s the unofficial end of winter. Yes, I realize that for some there’s still snow on the ground; but I’m out here in Cali and it’s a very nice and pleasant 66°. So no complaints from me! But no worries because I promise that the snow will melt!

And since it’s Tuesday you know what that means it’s Typzee Tuesday Tune time! This week it’s going to a newbie that I recently found on IG, Josh Phillips. He’s awesome, not only does he sing like a beast but he’s also nice to watch sing (ladies you know what I’m talking about!). He’s got that rasp that only a few can actually do and the lyrics will take you back to that dirt road where it all went down!

Go take a listen and be sure to give him a follow!!

Online shopping can seem like a challenge if you don’t have a particular store in mind. So when you end up finding a store, you totally have to share with the world lol!

And ladies I have found it! “Live Love Gameday®” is super cute, practical and I love the sayings on all of their shirts! If you’re like me and have a mild obsession with football, baseball, ect. Then you’re definitely going to love “Live Love Gameday”. But what I love most is that they are super affordable!

Most companies are mainly a marketing scheme. But not “Live Love Gameday®”, Sydney Durso-McArthur was a Dallas Cowboy’s Cheerleader form 2008 to 2015 and her love of the game led her to start this company! Here’s what their site says about why Sydney started “Live Love Gameday”:

…after cheering for the Dallas Cowboys for 7 seasons, she truly believed that the field was her home away from home. In January of 2015, Home Is Where the Field Is® was launched and Live Love Gameday® was born. From there other phrases such as My Daddy Taught Me About Jesus & Pass Interference™ and I Vow To Always Love You, Even During Football Season™ came to life.

So what are waiting for go and fill your wardrobe ready for opening day!

“For Love Or Likes” Yay or nay??

📸:Matt Busbice Facebook

If you keep up on the happenings around the hunting world then you’ve probably seen and heard about the new show premiering in April, “For Love Or Likes”. It’s the latest instalment of a movement trying to showcase and promote hunting among women.

The setting takes place in Louisiana on the massive hunting ranch owned by the Busbice family known for staring on “Country Buck$” and “Wildgame Nation”. You may have also heard of their company Wildgame Innovations, which makes top of the line trail cameras and deer feeds just to name a few.

“For Love Or Likes” is hosted and produced by Matt Busbice and his newly acquired production company. And will be premiering April 5th on the Outdoor channel.

This past week the shows promotional videos aired and and the internet went crazy! The first video makes it seem as if this is a dating show very close to “The Bachelor”, that is going to help Matt find his future wife. How did the public respond, let’s just say some of the haters weren’t happy about it; but then again they’re never happy! Isn’t it funny how people complaining and being completely hatful can actually work in your favor! Because pretty soon everyone seemed to talking about the show; good and bad! But the hate seemed to take a break when the real preview came out the following day.

“For Love Or Likes” isn’t another dating show (I kinda wish that it was), but instead it’s a new hunting competition featuring a group of huntress’s from around the country that have a massive social media following based on their hunting pics. These ladies will be showing off their skills in the outdoors, proving that they aren’t just into for the love and likes. All while showcasing that hunting isn’t just for the guys!

With the hunting world being mostly made up of men it’s nice to see some ladies out there killing it, literally and figuratively!

And to all the haters saying it’s fake and so are the girls. Why can’t you wear makeup while hunting or fishing? I mean some of us girls were raised to put some effort into ourselves and that’s just what we do! So next time you start to judge a girl based on how she looks while hunting or fishing just remember, she has probably killed more things then you can imagine! Plus the prettiest are usually the most lethal!

So be sure to tune in April 5th only on the Outdoor Channel!
