It’s almost Christmas y’all and I am so excited.🎄Christmas marks the end of a year and what a year it has been. First my family is moving across the country. Yup we’re heading east, goodbye… More
For some lame reason people out here in Cali say “Yeah No”, when they’re agreeing with you. That really has nothing to do with the rest of this post. I just thought it would get your attention.
Here is a little story that happened to me a few months ago:
“Wednesday night was probably one of the worst nights I’ve had in a while. Do you ever have something happen and you’re completely convinced that Voodoo dolls are the real deal? Well that’s how my Wednesday night went. Everything was going pretty nicely. I watched about five episodes of the same TV show, BTW I highly recommend Heartland! I got most of the laundry done. Plus the migraine I’ve had for the past four days finally subsided!! I went into my room all ready for bed. I was ready for a nice long night of sleep. Just as I laid my head on my perfect pillow I felt a dampness on my lower back. As I sat up I felt my shirt; I’m not sure why, maybe to see if it was blood. I mean maybe I was shot and I was bleeding out; I do kinda live in the hood! After what happened next, I think I would have felt better if I had been shot!! What was this mysterious dampness upon my favorite pj shirt? IT WAS FREAKING CAT PEE!!! Yup you read that right, CAT PEE!!!
Quick run down on my animal/pet history! I’ve never been keen on animals. I don’t know why, but they just are not my thing. I’ve had dogs and cats before, but I refused to pick them up when I was little. I am deathly afraid of horse’s and chickens, lame right. When I was little I cried because I had to pet the animals at a petting zoo!! I don’t like holding them or really petting them it freaks me out for whatever reason.
You may be wondering what happened next. Well first I’m pretty sure that I used every single curse word known to an English speaking person, I might have also offended someone in Iceland; I mean who knows I was saying whatever came to mind. Anyway there I was in the dead of the night with cat pee on my sheets, pillows and shirt.
If you have ever wondered what one does in a situation like this I’ll continue. A sane person may have calmly changed the bedding and their shirt and went to bed, but I’m not your average person. I’m kinda a spaz especially when it comes to cats. So I ripped my shirt off as if it was covered in acid, I found a new shirt after my dresser drawer didn’t want to open, don’t even get me started on that. I then started to rip off the bedding. I think I looked like Zoro and his cape, but I’ll never know because it was dark and there were no witnesses. I then made my bed with new clean bedding. And all of this happened in the dark, because I still live with my parents and I have four younger siblings who were all fast asleep. I’m thinking I should have woke them all up. Whatever, I then had to walk all of the nasty bedding out to the laundry, which is completely on the other side of the house. And as I’m making my trek with those cat pee sheets, I spot something behind the sofa. What or who is it? Oh yes, it’s THE CAT! As I walk by she sat there mocking me with those creepy yellow eyes, as if says I won this round human. And sadly I must admit she did win, but only because she belongs to my sister, if she were mine the S.P.C.A would have a new office pet!
Y’all 2017 is almost over and it’s been crazy! Trump is still president, which has ticked off a ton of people, way too funny. We’ve endured some major heartbreak with Hurricanes, Mass shootings by cowards, terrorist attacks and much more.
In many ways this year has taught us that we need to love on our family and friends a lot more and that we need to run after our dreams!!
What is one way we can get through it all? Well, in my opinion that’s with music. And for me that’s specifically country music. I have to be honest I almost gave up on my dream of what I want The Typzee Gypzee to be. I have so many plans and dreams. But that stupid thought that comes in and tells you to forget about it, came in and set up a freaking camp site. I was almost done with it all. But then the heartbreaking attack that in Las Vegas happened and it hit me hard. We only get one life and we can waste it. So in memory of those that lost their lives while having a good time, I’m going to make something out of The Typzee Gypzee! I’m not going to let the unknown hold me back. And I’m going to start by blogging the crap out of this thing. And best of all I’m moving to Nashville!! Yup I said it, I’M MOVING TO NASHVILLE!! I’ve been wanting to do this for such a long time so why not. And the best part, my family is also coming. I’m not doing this one alone. All I know is it’s going to be a party! So stay tuned!!
What are you waiting for go follow your dreams, I mean what do you have to lose???
And speaking of someone that didn’t give up on their dreams, Mr. Chase Rice has a new album out after a long three years! Enjoy his new song ‘One Love, One Kiss, One Drink, One Song’ it’s also one of my favorites from his new album ‘Lambs and Lions’!!
What do you get when a record label controls your career for three years, Jack Daniels is just as important to you as water and you’re the only country music Pat Mcafee will listen to! Well you must be Chase Rice and you just released one of the best albums of 2017, cue ‘Lambs and Lions’. And if you don’t believe me then go buy the dang thing!
It’s not often when a record label micromanages your career almost to the point of disappearance that you come back three years later and chart next to Thomas Rhett and Chris Stapleton. But when your name is Chase Rice those things happen to you.
If you don’t know Chase’s story then read on. Several years ago Chase lost his father suddenly, suffered a major injury that ended his football career right as it was getting started, worked for Hendricks Motor Sports on the pitcrew, then he made his way to Nashville and ended up co-writing one of the biggest country music singles ever to be released, you might have heard of it you know ‘Cruise’ by Florida Georgia Line. It’s that one that was blasting out of every single car and truck that drove down the road.
‘Lambs and Lions’ has a little bit of everything from pump-up to breakup to hook up and everything in between.
Track Listing Review:
‘Lions’ should be played in every single lockeroom right before all of the upcoming bowl games this season! Enough said!
‘Amen’ is a sweet song that will take you back to every moment you don’t ever want to forget. And whenever you add a choir you know it’s going to be on point!
‘Eyes On You’ is a such a cute song. Ladies listen up. If your man doesn’t do what this song says then go get a new man!
‘Saved Me’ will make you melt and it should be in a movie. It’s not often that Chase gets sentimental but this one is definitely the one in this album. Much like ‘Carolina Can’ and ‘Jack Daniels and Jesus’ was on the pervious albums.
If you’ve heard ‘Ride’ and ‘Whisper’, then you’ll love ‘On Tonight’; plus you can listen to this one with your grandma!
‘One Love, One Kiss, One Drink, One Song’ If you’re drinking and want to text your ex, stop put the phone down and go listen to this song ASAP!
‘Unforgettable’ is a breakup sequel to ‘Whisper’ in my opinion.
‘This Cowboy’s Hat’ (feat. Ned LeDoux) Yes this was originally Chris LeDoux’s song and let me say these two did an amazing job. Totally did this one justice. Ned does the talking and Chase does the singing.
‘Three Cords and The Truth’ If someone ever asks you why you listen to Country music, right before you go and delete them from Facebook and block them on Twitter/IG because you don’t need that kind of negativity, have them go and listen to this song it explains it perfectly.
‘Jack Daniels Showed Up’ Well well well this just wouldn’t be a complete Chase Rice album without the appearance of Jack Daniels somewhere and low and behold it’s right in the title! This song is funny and oh so true!!
Get ‘Lambs and Lions’ here!
Follow Chase (not in that creepy way just online!)
So as you can tell ‘Lambs and Lions’ is definitely #GypzeeApproved!!
Okay y’all I’m back. You know that feeling of should I or shouldn’t I!! Well that’s been me since May. About four years ago I had a this vision or dream whatever lol, that I should start a country music blog where I would promote new and upcoming artists, new music reviews and do some artist interviews! Well when it’s not paying the bills and maybe the traffic on it isn’t as good as you wanted, doubts start poping up. But after much thought it came to me. Why not do it? You love doing it and your good at it! Plus last night I was listening to the Chasing Glory podcast and Noah Galloway was on there. He gave me some MAJOR inspiration! So here is the first of many posts!!!
“Free Drinks” by Faren Rachels is an awesome upbeat breakup kinda song. I think everyone has had that one ex that they keep going back to over and over and over! Faren talks about how this guy is just as bad as “Free Drinks”. What I love most is her voice, it’s super unique and talk about sassy! I came across Faren’s page a few months ago when I looking up Luke Combs and Riley Green. She was opening for one of them and ever since I’ve been hooked! I’m a definite fan and I can’t wait to see what else she’ll be coming out with!!
Y’all it’s almost time!!
Okay so I just realized that only SEC fans would understand the title lol.
On another note I love when other sites do such an amazing job at reporting!! So instead of spending all of my time trying to out do the amazing writers over at SaturdayDownSouth, I thought why not just promte them!!
Check out this fabulous article explaining the SEC schedule on CBS for all of us that don’t have cable!!
Get it here!!
Most of the time Monday’s suck but I have a cure! During your lunch break sit back and watch a little Bob Ross!!
P.S. You’re welcome!!
We all hit that point in our lives financially where we start thinking up ways to make money. I mean if I was in better shape more doors would open 😯. But luckily my moral code is a little higher and I love my mama way to much to shame her, plus I live to far from Vegas!! So what is a girl to do when she’s BROKE!
Okay so here’s where I’m at. I could go down the responsible route and you know get a job. I’ve had a few jobs, everything from professional babysitting, retail (which sucks) and I even worked at a church (I may or may not have been fired from that one). But I don’t want to do this for the rest of my life. I don’t think anyone wants to go through life working part-time!! Let’s be honest we all want to be millionaires with a private island and a Bugatti!!! But how do we get there and still have some dignity at the end of the day?
Well here’s the plan. Now I always could go all Princess Kate. Becoming a princess seems to be out of the question because Prince Harry and his GF seem pretty happy. The other plan is starting my own business. I’ve wanted to for so long!! So that’s it, I’m starting a business! It’s top secret because honestly it’s going to be AWESOME and I don’t need people creeping my ideas!! But until then I can talk more about my adventures, country music and some yummy food!! Sorry but y’all get to continue to read my thoughts!!!
Okay so I’ve been a huge fan of Chase Rice for a while now! And no it’s not just because he’s super handsome and his voice will make you weak in the knees. Because honestly I heard his music way before I ever saw his face or ever heard him speak!!
One thing I love is when artists let us see a little glimpse into their lives! Wow that sounded just a little stockerish sorry!!
Anyway Chase has a really cool thing that he does while he’s on tour. It’s a mini webshow type series called CR247 on YouTube! It’s awesome and it shows just how awesome Chase and his crew are!! Make sure to subscribe to his page and get notified when they post a new video! Or check back here because I’ll be posting them as soon as they’re uploaded!!
When my mom says she likes a new country song well you’d think that hell was frozen! My mom is super picky on her music and only a few make the cut! So when she told me that she loves Morgan Wallen’s song “The Way I Talk”, I had to take a second listen!!! And I’m also loving this one!!
So Morgan congratulations you did it! We’re fans!!! Keep them coming!!
Y’all it’s Friday and well who doesn’t want to listen to some old school Brett Eldredge?? I mean honestly it never gets old!!
