It’s Friday and Jason Aldean has just dropped ‘Review Town’ I’ll be writing a full album review so keep an eye out!! Until then go take a listen: 💋, Holland Advertisements
Who doesn’t love new music?? Well instead of you spending all kinds of time searching for some new jamz I did it for you!!!
Enjoy and you can think me later!!
I have two sides country and club jamz. Honestly if it’s remixed and super digital I’ll go there. You know what I’m talking about when it comes to club jamz. But when it comes to what I listen to on a daily basis it’s always country. I tried to branch out and I listened to the ‘Today’s Hits’ on Spotify. Well at the 50 second mark of the third song I turned it to Riley Green.
I started to think about it. I mean what is it about country that has grabbed my attention like it has. Is it the rawness, the truth or the simple fact that it’s just good music. Well, it’s all three and then some. When you listen to a country song you know the truth behind every single lyric. How many times have you actually ever been in a club and left with whoever was there and how would you still be able to stand up after all these shots?!?!? I haven’t ever done that but I have been to a bonfire or two, I was raised in church with some manners and I’ve spent more time driving around with the radio blasting then I can remember. And honestly pop music doesn’t do any of that. When you turn on some country it becomes more of a soundtrack rather then a dream. I guess you could say that if you live your life like a country song then you’re living a dream.
I grew up in California and yes I’ve done all of the California stuff like spending weeks at the beach, I’ve been to the snow, I’ve been to the Santa Cruz board walk, I’ve been to Disneyland, Huntington Beach, San Francisco and the list goes on and on. Those places were fun and all but the bonfires in my backyard listening to the radio were way better and free! At one point I wanted to live in NYC and then my family and I had to go to the Bay area and on the way back home we got stuck in traffic. As we sat there I looked around and my whole mind changed. No one looked happy and everyone were on their phones not paying attention to anything around them. I wanted to freak out. The only difference about growing up in California was that I lived in the central valley where all of the food is grown. So I got to do all of those typical California things but I also lived on a few orange groves, I was in 4-H, my dad has always worked in agriculture. I got a taste of both worlds. There is just something in a country song that calls to me. It just seems natural to live life like a country song rather than a Justin Bieber song.
So when you think about it, country music is more of a lifestyle ratheer then it is a business. I mean I don’t know many country artists that are ‘One Hit Wonders’.
So the next time someone asks you why you listen to so much country music just tell them it’s a way of life!
Spring break is officially here! I feel like it’s the unofficial end of winter. Yes, I realize that for some there’s still snow on the ground; but I’m out here in Cali and it’s a very nice and pleasant 66°. So no complaints from me! But no worries because I promise that the snow will melt!
And since it’s Tuesday you know what that means it’s Typzee Tuesday Tune time! This week it’s going to a newbie that I recently found on IG, Josh Phillips. He’s awesome, not only does he sing like a beast but he’s also nice to watch sing (ladies you know what I’m talking about!). He’s got that rasp that only a few can actually do and the lyrics will take you back to that dirt road where it all went down!
Go take a listen and be sure to give him a follow!!

If you keep up on the happenings around the hunting world then you’ve probably seen and heard about the new show premiering in April, “For Love Or Likes”. It’s the latest instalment of a movement trying to showcase and promote hunting among women.
The setting takes place in Louisiana on the massive hunting ranch owned by the Busbice family known for staring on “Country Buck$” and “Wildgame Nation”. You may have also heard of their company Wildgame Innovations, which makes top of the line trail cameras and deer feeds just to name a few.
“For Love Or Likes” is hosted and produced by Matt Busbice and his newly acquired production company. And will be premiering April 5th on the Outdoor channel.
This past week the shows promotional videos aired and and the internet went crazy! The first video makes it seem as if this is a dating show very close to “The Bachelor”, that is going to help Matt find his future wife. How did the public respond, let’s just say some of the haters weren’t happy about it; but then again they’re never happy! Isn’t it funny how people complaining and being completely hatful can actually work in your favor! Because pretty soon everyone seemed to talking about the show; good and bad! But the hate seemed to take a break when the real preview came out the following day.
“For Love Or Likes” isn’t another dating show (I kinda wish that it was), but instead it’s a new hunting competition featuring a group of huntress’s from around the country that have a massive social media following based on their hunting pics. These ladies will be showing off their skills in the outdoors, proving that they aren’t just into for the love and likes. All while showcasing that hunting isn’t just for the guys!
With the hunting world being mostly made up of men it’s nice to see some ladies out there killing it, literally and figuratively!
And to all the haters saying it’s fake and so are the girls. Why can’t you wear makeup while hunting or fishing? I mean some of us girls were raised to put some effort into ourselves and that’s just what we do! So next time you start to judge a girl based on how she looks while hunting or fishing just remember, she has probably killed more things then you can imagine! Plus the prettiest are usually the most lethal!
So be sure to tune in April 5th only on the Outdoor Channel!

Life takes some major twists and turns. We get so caught up in all of its craziness. It can be super easy to get distracted, I mean I do all the time! It can feel like we’re on a treadmill and we’re not getting off anytime soon. But then we sometimes stop and reflect on things. Especially when it’s your birthday, you really think about your life.
So last night when I should have been sleeping, I was on YouTube getting caught up on the new country music videos, when I started to think about a local mission trip I did back when I was in eighth grade.
It was 2007 and during spring break my youth group held a local mission trip for the kids that didn’t go to Thailand with the rest of the Church. I desperately wanted to go to Thailand because I thought that the Thai people needed to hear about Christ and how awesome it is to be a Christian. I thought at the time that overseas missions were way more beneficial, not only to the those receiving the gospel but also for those giving it. Overseas missions always seems to be glorified. Don’t get me wrong it’s extremely important, but local “backyard” missions are just as important. For an eighth grader hearing the stories from the previous teams that had gone over, I had a spark inside and I thought that I needed to go. I thought that God could use me to show his light that those people needed. I knew of all the dangerous conditions a foreign country had in-store for a young American teenager. I didn’t care because “God would protect me”, at least that’s what I told myself. I was friends with the oldest daughter of the missionary family that lived in Thailand part of the year and also in the US, so I figured that she’s been fine I would be also. But my parents weren’t as convinced. My dad was in the Airforce and had been to Thailand several years prior and he wasn’t going to let his eighth grade daughter go. My mom also had her own opinions on the matter. My mom never let anyone but select family members ever babysit me or my siblings, so she definitely wasn’t going to let me go to Thailand by myself! When they said no I thought my life was over. There I was thinking that I was going to convert hundreds of people and I thought my parents were being overprotective. My parents were okay with me doing the local mission trip.
So I paid the fifty dollars, packed my bags and headed to the youth room of our church. I was still grumpy about not going to Thailand and I didn’t really want to sleep in the youth room with the other kids; most of which I didn’t know and I later found out that they were only there because they needed extra credit to move on to highschool. I was thinking all about how lame the week was going to be until they started explaining what it was that we were going to do. We were going to be holding a Vacation Bible School in one of the most gang riddled neighborhoods in our county. I had always heard about the area but I had never been there because to be completely honest it was way to dangerous.
The next day we got up, prayed, did our morning Bible study and then we loaded up into a 15 passenger van and we were off. I was starting to feel a little bit better, plus the kids weren’t as bad as I had thought. We were going to be holding VBS at an elementary school in the neighborhood, that way the kids and their families were comfortable with the location.
We got there at around 8am to set up and we already had kids showing up. I was kinda surprised that the kids were so into what we were doing. They seemed to be longing for whatever we had to offer. VBS started with music and the kids were so excited to be there it was crazy. If you’ve ever seen a video from mission trips and the kids are dancing and singing, it’s not just happening overseas, it happened right at that elementary school. I guess I had always thought that because in the US we have so much access to God and church that you just know about him and all of his love. But that week showed me that people right here in our own communities are just as lost as those in a different country.
I was a small group leader of six little girls. In that neighborhood it has a very high minority population and all of the little girls in my group were Hmong. They even spoke Hmong and English, it was awesome. They were hilarious. They were always making me laugh. I believe they were six to eight years old. We had so much fun. For them all to be so little they picked up on every single Bible story. They didn’t want to really do anything but talk about the Bible stories and make the crafts that went with them.
When the Bible talks about having “Child like faith” those little girls showed me exactly what that means. They never put their own spin on it, they took it all in and treated like it was gold! As an adult that was raised in church I can tell you first hand that the Bible is so overly analyzed we start to lose the simplicity of it. If you just look at the Bible as God intended it, you will be amazed at how easy it is to understand. When Jesus was talking in the synagogue there is a reason he was twelve and the people he was talking to were all adults.
At the end of that week all of those little girls in my small group accepted Christ as their personal savior. I couldn’t have been happier. And I was so grateful that my parents didn’t let me go to Thailand.
We must really let God be our guide and we must really listen because sometimes what we think is great isn’t always his plan. When I look back and think about those little girls in my group I can’t even believe how much they changed my whole outlook on life and how it changed my entire relationship with Christ. I can honestly say that God used those six little girls to show me just how important life is and just how lost those are in our own neighborhoods!
When you think about where you are in life right now ask yourself this, “Am I happy?”
I have been thinking a lot about the future and what I want to do! For the last six months I’ve been going over it in my head like a million times. I’m going to be 26 this year and since I’m not married I thought what is it that I want to do! Because until I get married and start a family I have some me time to take care of. So after lots of thought and prayer I’ve decided to continue with The Typzee Gypzee and to fund the whole thing I’m going to get my real estate license!
I had to get to the place where I would be happy and want to go to work! Because I don’t want to go to work like a zombie every single day and regret not going after any dreams! And honestly I can’t imagine not blogging and after thinking about how to fund it and where I want it to go with it, I thought about real estate. Its a perfect combination because you can make a ton of money plus you set your own hours and the major bonus was that I didn’t need a degree to get it. It’s also fairly easy to get your real estate license if you study!
So what is it that you want to do?? Think about it and let me know what you come up with!!
Just make sure that you have a way to fund it and that you don’t go broke trying to accomplish it lol!!
And in the meantime here’s a song to give you some inspiration and it’s fun to dance to!!
